Last November, we had a busted feed line to the dishwasher which flooded our downstairs and totally trashed the laminate flooring.
We plan to eventually put down a good quality wood-type flooring, but the budget for that hasn't happened yet.
Last week I found a can of concrete stain on clearance at Lowe's for $5, so I did something to make the concrete a little friendlier.
I think it's a fair improvement over this:
